In 2005 we ended the season with a balanced budget for the seventh
consecutive year.

In April of 2003 we made our fifth appearance at Carnegie
Hall in 25 years.

including one in July of 2006.

We received a surprise visit from Senator Nancy Larraine
Hoffman in 2002, where she presented us with a check for $100,000
to increase our pension.

In 2001, we agreed to an unprecedented long term labor
contract which included only minimal increases in musician compensation,
but allowed the orchestra a period of time to pay down accumulated
debt and complete an endowment drive.
•
In 1999 George Pataki presented the orchestra with the
Governor's Arts Award.
